This is the official training of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) "Introduction to the Capability Maturity Model Integration version 1.2". Upon completion each participant receives the official certificate of the SEI at the Carnegie Mellon University for successfully participating in the training.
Additional bonus: The widely-used assessment tool COMPASS will be introduced. You will get your own demo version with full functionality for entries from your own organization.
The following topics will be covered:
- Model understanding: What is the CMMI and how is it structured?
- Model usage: How to best use the model and its elements for successful improvements? How to optimize cost-benefits in your own organization? How to avoid overly heavy processes?
- Appraisals/Assessments: What is an appraisal and how is it conducted? How to individually assess your strengths and weaknesses with the Vector tool COMPASS?
Your trainer will be Dr. Christof Ebert, managing director and partner at Vector Consulting Services. Christof is a widely recognized model expert and known for his tutorials, improvement projects and several books.
This training can also be conducted in-house at your premises.
