Review Vector Forum 2007

The Vector Forum 2007 took place at Vector's headquarters in Stuttgart on 09. May. Industry decision-makers met experts of Vector Consulting Services for a half-day exchange of hands-on experiences. Lectures and accompanying discussions focused on: "How to optimize product development?"

For all present engineering managers it is today of crucial importance to evaluate cost and productivity and to implement objective-driven improvements. During six lectures representatives of Alcatel-Lucent, Bosch, DaimlerChrysler, Siemens VDO and Vector Consulting Services laid out their position. Their contributions characterized the state of the practice how enterprises in system and software-driven industries globally improve their efficiency. Concrete empirical results from different companies and industries showed how to optimize engineering processes and the underlying infrastructure and how to successfully implement suitable approaches one's own area of responsibility.

During the subsequent dinner the participants continued with talks and discussions on these topics until the late evening, in order to find suitable solutions for their own current challenges.
