eASEE.rqm - Requirements Management

Creating requirements and requirement attributes
Certain requirement objects are provided in eASEE.rqm for creating the requirements. These are individual, versionable and unique objects that have a predefined life cycle. The life cycle indicates the current status of a requirement (e.g. “in process”, “released”, “unfulfillable”). Furthermore, requirement objects have a number of standard¬ attributes for describing requirement-¬specific properties. These include attributes for describing a person responsible for the requirement, entering priorities or describing the contents of a requirement. To uniquely identify requirements, they are automatically assigned a unique ID number. Both the life cycle and selection of attributes can be adapted to the needs of the specific customer in a customizing step.

Convenient editing of requirements
Requirements are created and edited using prepared forms and editors. They make it possible to display and edit the contents of individual or multiple requirements in eASEE.rqm. Flexible incorporation of the requirements as text, table or images is guaranteed. Formatting ¬functions enable structuring (e.g. enumeration characters) and a visually appealing preparation of the requirement contents. In addition, hyperlinks in the requirements text reference documents within and external to eASEE.

Exchanging requirements (import / export)
Requirements are imported and exported via standardized exchange formats, such as RIF (Requirement Interchange Format). These exchange formats enable simple communication with other requirements management systems. The XML interface of the eASEE Base System guarantees flexible export into other formats such as Microsoft Word.
