eASEE.rqm - Requirements Management

Requirements Management is an important prerequisite for effectively developing complex and high-quality products. The goal is to reach a common understanding between customer and supplier on the product to be developed.
Requirements are established and documented in an early phase of the development process. The specification quality and requirements structure in the requirements analysis phase has a decisive impact on the process flow in product development and the quality of the resulting product. Continual requirements management throughout the product development process assures that the latest requirements are available via defined change processes. The effects of changes are traceable (Tracking). The quality of the developed product is assured by assigned test methods.

The Requirements Management module eASEE.rqm offers you the computer-supported capability of documenting, analyzing and administering requirements and tracking their implementation.

Features and advantages

  • eASEE.rqm lets you conveniently document requirements and specify and organize them in an understandable and clear form.
  • eASEE.rqm gives you access to all requirements at a central point. This ensures that all requirements are available to all participants in the development process at all times.
  • eASEE.rqm lets you react quickly to added or changed requirements.
  • eASEE.rqm assures universality of the engineering data spanning the entire development process. Requirements can be assigned to all types of engineering data. It is possible to set requirements in relations to test records or sample levels, for example.

Areas of use
eASEE.rqm is the module for creating, specifying and universally managing requirements over the entire development process. Its range of functional features allows it to be used by both specification authors (e.g. OEM or Tier-1 supplier) and specification recipients (e.g. supplier).
In creating specifications, the focus is on authoring, review and release processes for requirements, as well as planning of acceptance tests.
Processes at the specification recipient include accepting requirements, integrating specification updates in existing requirement structures and tracking and validating implementation of requirements.
