eASEE.sdm - System Data Management

The goal of every development project in the automotive industry is to implement a new feature or function for the vehicle or improve an existing one. These functions are perceived by the vehicle user and represent a value or benefit to the user.
Initially, the technical implementation of a feature, regardless of whether it involves a mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or electronic system in the vehicle, plays a subordinate role. Mechatronic systems, made of electronic components in combination with mechanical, electrical or hydraulic components, offer many advantages in their technical implementation, with regard to attainable reliability, weight, space requirements and costs.
Like no other technology, electronics are a key for realizing many innovations today. Nearly all vehicle functions are now driven, controlled or monitored electronically.
The eASEE.sdm module for system data management supports you in specifying and managing electronic vehicle systems and their components, such as sensors, actuators and ECUs.

Features and advantages

  • eASEE.sdm lets you conveniently document all components of electronic systems, specify them in an understandable and unique form and manage them in versions and variants.
  • You can use eASEE.sdm to set up a vehicle’s entire electronic architecture from system components.
  • eASEE.sdm lets you re-use system components in different vehicle projects.
  • You can use eASEE.sdm to specify a vehicle’s electronic architecture in a product line approach – considering variable parts, optional equipment and country-specific features.
  • eASEE.sdm gives you a universal systems engineering environment – from description of the vehicle electronics on a functional level to the logical and technical architecture levels and finally to the software architecture of the ECUs.
  • eASEE.sdm lets you access all system specifications at a central point. All participants in the development process have worldwide access to all specifications at all times.
